This is my 3rd month of symptoms for lyme. My first blood test came back equivical. Waiting on co-infections lab results. Biaxin is the longest med I have taken yet. I did miss one day of taking Biaxin but technically this could be week 4 I believe which I have heard many things about. Do these symptoms seem like a flare up?
My symptoms include: chest pain, rib soreness, shortness of breath, some swallowing issues, stomach problems, diarrhea, no appetite, basically I feel like I was hit by a mack truck.
Any ideas? This is the 2nd day I felt like this.

Yes, it is documented that 4th wk herx kicks up.
I saw this in my son and daughter on IV abx.

It is related to the life cycle of the lyme spirokeet.

It is miserable, but a good sign. If it gets too bad, do call your dr.

Lots of movies, comfy jammies and heating pads.

Yeah I was hit by the Mack truck my 4th week. Intense vibrating, shaking, pain, brain fog, extreme fatigue, could barely lift arms...
The first time was the worst. I found eating more fat & cholesterol helped when herxing was really bad. Drink lots of water.

cr@p. yep. pretty normal,to feel worse before you feel better

Detox as much as possible

because the body is killing off alot of bacteria

that are releasing toxins that can make you feel worse

drink lots of lemon water

and some olive oil

& hang in there

it does get better over time

The fourth week was the absolute worst for me, too.

One thing you might want to consider is a daily chart tracking your symptoms. I've been doing this for 15 months, and it's helped me see herxes very clearly, as well as the progress I've made.

It's also a good resource to help your LLMD.

There's an excellent printable chart here:

The thing I told myself when things got bad was that at least the medicine seemed to be working!

Hope you start to see some improvement soon.
