Which issue would you like to focus on?

Choline deficiency -> "fatty liver"

Ethanol(alcohol) impact on the liver? (All spirochetes ferment sugar to ethanol.)

Other?

The liver is taking a big hit already. Treat it kindly.

Many drugs are processed thru the liver. Some thru the kidneys, but most thru the liver.

Sometimes a short rest is in order.

Marnie,

I'm curious what you think about fasting as a way to cleanse the body, and the liver too?

Michael

I'm not an MD. The above is IMO and in my experience as well as from health related books.

I've had symptoms consistent with neurological Lyme disease since 1986. Was diagnosed with Lyme in 2004. Am feeling better now than ever before.

Marnie,

my questions would fall under "other".

My son is on cipro/rifampin and we're told this combo is hard on the liver.

I was wondering what detox method would be good for him when I saw this question posted.

We are taking milk thistle, which is recommended by Dr. B and Dr. J.- Basic first line suggestion and it is cheap as supplements go.

I think it is helping my son handle the mepron.

Milk thistle is a standard for helping the liver.

Plenty of clean water without chlorine or flouride is a must.

I'm working my family towards putting as few chemicals, whether from food, water or the environment into our bodies. If it doesn't go in, it doesn't have to be detoxed. This will allow your liver to concentrate on detoxing the stuff already in the body and from the stuff abx and antifungals kill.

This is the basic idea. Other things might be used for specific things you are trying to purge, like metals.
