Members of the Houston support group appeared in a PBS interview a few months ago.
One member in particular was interviewed at length about the 'basics'.
This is a very good educational primer about Lyme disease and both the reporter and the interview subject were quite articulate.
Clearly, the interviewer did her homework and asked some great questions.
AND the GREAT news is that none of the naysayers were interiewed!
FINALLY a story that tells "our" side without hearing all the bull.
Please visit this link; watch the video; and then contact the station thanking them for the story and asking if they would consider passing this along to YOUR local PBS station.
The MORE hits the station gets on this link, the more they realize there is interest in this subject matter!
LET'S SHOW THEM THERE IS INTEREST - NOT ONLY IN TEXAS BUT NATION-WIDE.
It's been said for years that we don't git Lyme in Texas -- but if there's a program talking about Lyme in Texas, maybe others will start to think that maybe there's Lyme in YOUR state too.
All it takes is ONE email from you - copy all those people...then you can feel like you've helped make some progress today.
(And if you haven't signed that LDA petition..you could do that too!)
Thanks in advance for all your interest & cooperation.
Together we can make a difference!
Hugs &

Thanks for posting this Dr. Wise I think the woman is very couragous and did an awesome job-considering to how sick she is.
I hope the doctors from texax get to watch this. As a matter of fact they should all be made to go to the meeting and look those suffering people with lyme & TBI's in the face . How can they sleep at night?

Thanks Dr WA! I'll email and thank them I would like it to be shown here, too. I have to look up the names of our PBS stations as I keep forgetting. I know they start with W's.
To Betty - it took about 1 1/4 hours to download on DSL but was definately worth it.
Can you leave your computer on for a few hours and come back later? Like maybe while you're sleeping or something.

I just looked up my local PBS stations & e-mailed them this:
I know people in the area who would love to see it but can't download it because it would take an eternity. If not, perhaps you could do a similar interview.
Thank you.
Sorry, Betty-
My Lyme-Brain thought you were local. I have to do the Mepron crash now . I'll try to find yours tomorrow.
I also sent notes to NBC & CBS. I don't know if I sent to ABC or if I forgot them. (I'm very scrambled right now)
I know CBS has a spot "CBS Cares" on their site with info on a bunch of different diseases. I mailed them "Apparently not about Lyme disease."
I also searched their site for Lyme & their coverage has really been Lame. I told them so.
Gotta go now ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
