Do the food eaten cause a severe reaction in lymes?
Anytime I eat processed foods I get red flushed headaches and the symtpoms complicated themselves ten fold rapid heart rate and heating up and my belly gets very bloated and hard with pain in the stomach sides and lower abdomen.....
it is really bothersome as I cannot enjoy any meal or food!!!!!!!!
Do artificail sweetners irritate lymes?

I had a huge problem with this...If you are on abx, it will make it worse. I went to a very green, raw, organic diet. I generally wouldnt eat any junk food. Yes nutrasweet and the pink stuff can still make you feel bad, especially if you are on abx..Nutrasweet made me feel like poop, seems like it activated the lyme and/or yeast.

Also check out the eat right 4 your type ( blood type)diet, made all the difference in the world. Im an O, I cut out all the bad stuff for O's made a HUGE difference.

Think of your new diet this way, if the food Item has more than 2 ingredients, dont put it in your mouth.

What you are experiencing could also be yeast, a good yeast protocal and natural fouds should get rid of the problem.. I used Grapefruit seed extract, and oil of oregano..

Lactose intolerance?? It's common in our family. A lot of the processed stuff contains milk products.

You might try OTC lactose pills and see if it helps. That's what the hard stomach and bloating sounds like anyway...

I like that statement. It goes well with my rule of thumb "If it didn't grow that way, don't eat it"

My intestines were affected for several years prior to any knowledge of lyme. Now it is more in my head.

Back then, I had to live on salmon, avocados, and Van's wheat-free waffles. No wheat, no dairy, no sugar, no caffeine, certainly no processed foods, etc. These things caused exxacerbation of my symptoms.

Sorry for the bad news. But it will improve over time.
