I live just outside of Kansas City Missouri and have just discovered another friend and neighbor who has Lyme. This means that myself, my next-door neighbor and now his next door neighbor all have Lyme. There is also another friend of mine 1 1/2 miles away who is being treated for it.
3 males, 1 female. Ages 25, 28, 31, and 33. All initial infection summer of '05. All living within a 5 mile circle. All DIAGNOSED!!!! What about the neighbors I don't know and the people who aren't seeking help? Scary.
I don't really know the significance of this. Maybe it is just a coincidence, or maybe this is a newly developing problem area. Any ideas???
I live in rural Platte county Missouri. Anyone else around here out there?

I'm originally from the KC area. My grandparents lived in Platte City but I never heard of the disease my entire life. Until my daughter contracted LD here in Calif.
I still have many relatives in the Clay and Jackson County area. None of them has ever heard of LD - at least the ones I've spoken with.

Are you/others all going to good LLMD? You've only got a couple choices for your state; better than we Iowans with NO LLMDS!
