I have been taking Samento (1 drop) for about 2 weeks. I was recently told that Samento activates the immune system, which would normally be good, however, I have an auto-immune problem (Celiac). Does anyone have a resource addressing whether this could cause a problem?

Technically, Samento is classified as an immuno-regulator or modulator of the immune system. It's effective against the Lyme microbes and the co-infections, but I'm not sure about it's effect on Celiac. Could it be that you have been misdiagnosed with Celiac, and it's the Lyme that's causing the problems?

For comprehensive information on Samento, go here:

Good luck with your healing!

All good wishes,

Earthdeva- Thank you for your reply. The websites were helpful and I've printed out some info for my LL Dr. to look at tomorrow.

I don't think Samento would be a problem for you. I have celiac too, and believe that Lyme disease caused it.

One drop a day won't do much one way or the other.

My hubby has celiac (confirmed at age 50 by biopsy) but anyway we think (and our LLMD insists) that it was triggered by Lyme.

He is taking Samento since at least one year (3x5 drops a day) and we didn't notice anything negative.

In the contrary: it is helping him to control his very high blood pressure.

But of course I'm no doctor and everybody could react differently.

My son took Samento for a few months. Nothing. Didn't do anything to help his symptoms at all.
