Why don't the insurance companies and medical people let me decide what I want to take. After all, I'm the one who has to live with the decision.
Just give me the information and let me be the judge of what I want to put into my body. Let me decide if I want to be undertreated or not and for how long. Why should they care????

Good question...I feel the same way, although some think everybody must be 'supervised'.
We might ought to add to the list &%^$#@ govt bureaucrat cretins....
We may get 'supervised' into an early grave....

I make my own dissisions--now For 18 yrs I was at the mercy of the medical industy--
Threw those yrs doctors just blew me off- they were looking only at there bottom line- Not what was Best for me
I did my reasearch and when I found a Good LLMD I showed them that I had done my homework-
Now I make All of the disisions With my doctor-
Realize that a regular doctor has between 2500 to 3500 patients--
When you do the math - these doctors Only have 15 minutes total that they can spend with each patient every 4 months--
I am not going to put my life in the hands of a doctor that can only help me for 45 minutes total per year-
These numbers count on that the doctor works on Saturdays too --
When you do the math it is clear why the medical industry is so F*&%# up --
To have the best chance of being suscessful you have to take your life in your own hands-
When I finally figured out what was wrong with me (by seeing a TV show on Lyme) I spent 10 to 15 hours aday reading about Lyme and co infections for about 7 months--Ouch
Realize that you are paying the doctor- they work for you- you are the boss -- not the other way around --
So do your home work--and take charge-
Its alot of work but as far as I know this is the only life I am going to have and I am going to do my best to get whats left of it back--Jay--

If you have been denied medical treatment for Lyme disease by an insurance company or Physician you need to contact Pat Smith from the Lyme Disease Association.
This is very important.
