Hello. I know we aren't supposed to take any mineral supplements on the day of DMPS IV, but are we supposed to stay away from foods with calcium, iron, magnesum, etc? That's almost impossible, so I'm guessing we can eat whatever we want, but just avoid the supplements. My doctor's office is closed, so I can't ask, and I feel like an idiot! Thanks anyone!

Hi Madhatten : )

Here is an article on mercury chelation. It is focused on ASD, however it is informative.

From the pages of healing arts:

"I know we aren't supposed to take any mineral supplements on the day of DMPS IV"

Where have you heard this? This is misinformation.
On the day of DMPS you should load up with minerals double and triple, especially the absorbable kind. DMPS mobilizes not only the bad minerals (heavy metals) out, it also pulls the good minerals out. So you really need to replace them several times a day - also following days after DMPS to help in the detoxing process.

Without the good minerals - detoxing is not possible. They provide the sparks for the electrical system in the body.

I took a lot of Whey throughout the whole process. I also take the Complete Mineral Complex by Designs for Health (Albion Process) about the only thing I still take. I am sure others have ideas of which minerals work for them.

Good luck with the heavy metals. Know that it can take several years while you should pay attention to it. They are not gone in a months or two.

Take care.
