I'm a little confused by your first post. Anyway, I suggest you get serious about your DIET. That is the only thing that will keep the yeast at bay.

Got some Theralac?

Candida diet and elimination:

Lyme symptoms list compared with yeast symptoms
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/021202.html

"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."

Five Steps to Candida Elimination:

1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.

2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements.
[e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]

3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]

4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]

5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

Hope that helps!! [Smile]

I'm leaning more towards yeast in this case.

I too at first experience more breathing problems upon starting the difl. but it does clear in a day or 2. (yeast herx)

You said you take 'cayenne' and that helped - I bought some a while back but wasn't sure about taking it. I ws concerned that it might make me have stomach upset or burn going down the throat.

Do you have any of theses things? I have something called sinus buster - it is also "cayenne" for the nasal passages - it only burns for a minute but it does work when congested, the burning goes away within seconds.

With your EKG being a little off - what was your 02 level if you know, and did they do blood work to see if cardiac ensinzes were up? I had an abnormal EKG once - they told me I had to stay over night for observation - and if I signed my self out (which I wanted to and would have liked to) they told me I could have a heart attack as well, and that they couldn't be responsable - so I stayed - everything was fine.

Sometimes the machines are off (I've been told) and I've learned the blood tests tells more.

Massive candida die off (toxins) was more than your body could handle? Just a thought.

Maybe call the pharmacist and ask if there is anything they know about Diflucan causing heart problems.

I did the diflucan a few times and it was too strong for me. I near died from the candida dieoff.

My MCS was so severe from the dieoff, as was my breathing. I had to stop it it was so strong.
I was taking 50mgs a day, for a few days or so.

I was told you can take it once a week, one pill a week for a time.

150mgs once a week for a month or more.

HERE IS why diflucan is so strong.

ONE pill stays in your system fighting the candida/fungus for 5-7 days. So if you take one every day, you are having SO much diflucan in your system each day,

You take it on Monday, then on Tuesday you take it again, but you still have half of the diflucan from Monday in your system, so in actual

fact you are taking 1 1/2 Diflucan on Tuesday.
The you take it on Wednedsday, and you have this day in yous system, but also some of Mondays and Tuesdays in your system, so you have alot

of diflucan in your system say about day 4,

It works something like this.

Perhaps you can starve the candida for a week or two, then start on something not as strong like oil of oregano, or a lower dose of diflucan,

ALSO, if you try oil of oregano, here is who I started to take it when my candida was bad.
I had to do one drop twice a day for a week,

then 2 drops twice day for a week, then 3 drops twice a day for a week. I stayed at 3 drops of oil of oregano twice a day for 3 months, I also

was on nystatin. I started with 1/2 pill of nystatin and worked up to 3 a day. could only get 3 a day from MD. He would give me no more.

Others may do it differently, the trick is to stick to the oil of oregano for about 3 months or so, every day, twice a day, I got dieoff for 1 month each day, then it stopped, and just started to feel better. YOu may need more.

taken spaced, find a MD that knows how to treat with the diflucan and is aware of candida dieoff.

Hope this helps,

Trish
