I am experiencing extreme eye fatigue and eye twitching. This is a new symptoms for me after two years of treatment.
Currently I'm taking Zithromax, Doxy and Mepron for Lyme and Babs, but was wondering if eye involvement could be associated with other co-infections.
Are there any herbal remedies that anyone has tried that have helped with eye involvement?

Nancy,
I've had twitching all over my body, including the eyes, with Lyme.
But the eye twitching got incredibly worse (along with other new symptoms such as myoclonic jerking) when I started Bartonella treatment.
I had to abandon Bart treatment due to medication issues, but many of the symptoms are worsening.
Zithromax can work to some degree on Bartonella. It is used for pediatric cases of Bartonella.
It is possible you are getting a little Bartonella herx. Were you ever tested for it?
I will say that whenever I get eye twitches, I increase my magnesium. I also increase essential fatty acid supplements such as borage seed oil or evening primrose oil. I don't know why that would help, it's just something I tried and seemed to work for me.
Take care, Jill

Yes what is your magnesium intake? I had non-stop twitching that was relieved when I started a new magnesium supplement. And to repeat what Jill said the EFA for the eyes. My eye doctore rec flax oil, seems to help with severe dryness.
As far as all the other weird eye syymptoms- I have always wondered it they were caused by Bartonella. Most of my worst eye symptoms are now dissapating on Amoxicillin so Im not sure..
I am also using Rainbow Light complete EyeCare system so I dont have to buy these supplements separately anymore.
The fact that this is a new symptom for you I think makes it more difficult. Could any of these meds that you're on be causing this as a side effect?
