after a horrifying experience last night...ambulance ride due to an allergic reaction/reaction to combo of drugs (medical personnel were very supportive, held my hand for me and everything-- though I have to admit the firefighter looked terrified for me-- though he reassured me i would be fine.) he seemed doubtful... they gave me oxygen and an i.v and benadryl.....
this am with internal vibrations and leg weakness felt like giving up...so unbelievably tough this disease...treatment is worse than the disease!!
but I need to hang in there! we all do!! I really have no support but decided today that I need to fight this....and not give up and reclaiim my JOY!!!! wish me luck and prayers please!! and the same to all of YOU love kristin Posts: 225 | From home | Registered: Aug 2006

Hi Kristin! You keep fighting and I am right there with you in that. You are right, no matter how tough it gets we do have to keep our eye on the prize -- reclaiming our joy. It is still there.
Hope you have a much more restful weekend, sorry to hear about the ambulance trip,
Yours, ella Posts: 2557 | From home | Registered: Aug 2006

Kristin you will make it through. I had many ER visits and a trip in an ambulance...and it took another year and a half before I was diagnosed...then the herxes came and they were severe.
You will make it.
I have not been following your posts...are you being treated for babesia. I know I had that buzzing in my legs...I was positive for lyme, babesia and ehrlichia...the first month of treatment on Mepron is what took the buzziness in the legs and elsewhere away...
I guess I will never know if that was the lyme or babesia since I was taking zithro with it.
Hang in there. Be sure you are drinking enough water and detoxing however you can.

Good for you! I've been going through a flare up or herx not sure for a few weeks now. This included an ambulance trip with oxygen as well. You definitely have a support system, look at all the people responding to your posts. Posts: 298 | From Maine | Registered: Jan 2004
