Has he been tested for Co-Infections?

I had lyme rage each night. 9:00 PM like clockwork, would last about 1 hour.

Found out that in addition to Lyme I have Babesia. After treatment the lyme rage went away. No more problem.

One other thing. I have seen relatives who when they are in the Hospital get angry and scared and it is often related to the meds they are put on while in the hospital. When they get discharged and the meds clear from their system, they have all gotten over the anger and rage. I have also seen an increase in blood sugar levels in these same individuals while in the hospital, which decrease to normal when they are discharged. I don't know why, except that it could be related to the stress they are under.

Hope your father is better soon.

It sounds like me that he could be having bad herx or reaction to this specific abx.

Solution could be lower dose or switch to different abx.

Sorry he is going thru something so terrible and so hard on family!

Dearest Sandra,

I am so sorry that you and your family are having to deal with such a disheartening and frightening ordeal with your father.

In addition to what the others have offered, I would also suggest that you look into the co-infection of Bartonella.

Bart is known to cause rages in many patients. So, it would benefit you and your father to be certsin to address this possibility as well.

My very best to you and yours,
Melanie
