I'm trying to find out if Rifampin is contraindicated if taking IV Rocephin - does anyone know? I need to treat Bart but am not too excited about doing Cipro/Levaquin and cannot do Septra due to allergy. Any thoughts?

I don't know if its contraindicated, I certainly hope not as I took the two simultaneously without a problem. Haha. I was infusing rocephin and taking rifampin for atleast a few months at the same time, I believe.

Call your pharmacist... they can look up possible drug interactions.
