Has anyone here used Prednisone in conjunction with regular treatment?
I was given a six day medro pak to use to help with the inflamation pain. But another LLMD said "dont' take any kind of cortisone with lyme as it will make it worse when you stop".
If you've used this could you let me know the outcome for you?
Thanks to all, Gailsy

Before any of my doctors knew what was going on with me,I had recieved a few injections in my neck/shoulder.
The same night my legs began to ache (almost like a tetenus shot feeling). They also were extremely sensitive to touch and very hot.
About three weeks later, I was put on an oral steroid for muscle weakness. I took it for three days, gave one of my customers a perm, and by that evening I couldn't even move my arms away from my body. Again, also very sensitive and very hot to touch.
The following day the pain moved up into my face. I'm not saying it was the steroids that caused this, but I do feel there is some link.
Oh Yeah, all of this occured in the beginning of August, my legs still feel strange (like something is eating them away) and I also have not been able to walk right since.

Gailsy,
Did you not see everybody's responses to your post yesterday?
Do you know how to find posts after they move off the first page? If not: There are numbers at the top and bottom of the main page of each forum on the right side.
It says "Page: 1 2 3 4 ... 19 20 21" You can just click on the page you want to go to and you will see posts that have moved to another page.

I thought I had posted earlier but couldn't find it. I looked a few times and thought, in my lyme fog, that I really never even posted the question.
Thanks to all of you for your advice. Have taken it and will not do the steroids. Thank goodness for this place!
