I have been on abxs for 2 1/2 years. I am being treated for Babs and Lyme I have made some progress.

Unfortunetly, I have developed some new symptoms that are really making me very nervous. I have noticed over the past few weeks a very strange sensation along my throat and down my neck, especially when I swallow. The other symptom is eye fatigue, the muscles around my eyes hurt.

Can anyone share their experiences with developing new symptoms similar to these?
Thanks

eye fatigue; are you on pc long times?

how often do you blink? that causes a lot of strain

I've had the throat problems several times - it is like I forget how to swallow and sometimes it is like the muscles fall asleep.

I have the eye problem now and previously. Are you getting twitches around the eye?

Are you taking Plaquenil by any chance?

Nancy,

Yes, I can relate to both. My eye/face pain makes wearing glasses difficult.

I believe it is a combination of inflamed nerves and swelling due to allergies.

I recently developed swallowing difficulty and acid reflux. I'm on a soft diet, small amounts of non-allergic food rotated on a 4 day basis.

I just talked to my LLMD today and he said that 5-HTP can increase seratonin in GI tract and might help swallowing/esophagus discomfort.

I understand that the best 5-HTP is enteric coated and has vitamin C and B6 to assist metabolizing it. Aarg! Another pill!

Also, he recommended enzymes, liquid aloe vera, glutamine, and MSM.
