Lou Bachman's wife, Angela, sent me this morning, and asked that I post this for all to read.
PLEASE KEEP THIS UP TO THE TOP PLEASE SINCE ONLY LOU COULD PLACE THESE IN "FEATURE" STAYING AT THE TOP.
So effectively last week, Lou is OFF LYMENET FOR A LONG TIME! So contact Jenifer, Toby, Bill, or Marc.
THEIR EMAILS ANGELA SHOWED ARE, but do NOT show up here on the below message!!: *******************************
Bill Stolow , Carol Stolow , Marc Gabriel
for those wishing to send good wishes, please write them below,
I'll respond to Angela saying for them to check EACH of the forums since I'll copy this there for ALL to read.
Angela wrote this to the lymenet BOARD OF DIRECTORS. *******************************************
Dear Carol, Bill, Marc, and Deb,
Just wanted to let you know that last Sunday Louie had a heart attack.
He's been in St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson since then....first in CCU. Today they moved him down the hall a bit to what they call .
It was pretty bad and his pain was excruciating. He's had moderate damage done to his heart.
They did the balloon procedure, cut and suctioned out the plaque in one artery that was 100 percent blocked. They didn't stent it.
In the artery that was previously stented, they found a clot had been caught in the stent itself. That had to be cleaned out. The operation itself took a very long time.
Now he has to go for a another stress test in a few weeks and, I believe, will get another catherization in 6 to 8 weeks.
They want to check if everything is going okay. If they see trouble, the other artery will have to be stented as well.
If the surgeon finds that the stress test goes well, he will begin cardio-rehab therapy three times a week.
Bill, Louie asks that you please tell your daughter, Jenifer, to take him OFF Lymenet.
He does NOT need any additional stress at this time. He's worked quite diligently on Lymenet for years now and I've watched him work many times well into the early morning hours .
Stay well and happy holidays to you all.
Love, Angela
*****************************
Angela, thank you so much for letting me know this! I've copied this to ALL forums of lymenet.
Lou, BIG GUY, I'm so sorry to read this about your heart attack and seriousness of it all.
You know the lively personal messages we have had I will miss, but you need your rest Lou now after this major change of event in your life.
Angela and Lou, THANK YOU BOTH for all you have done for lymenet since it was started 10+ years ago. It would NOT be what it is today, without all the guidance, love, encouragement, words of wisdom, and heck Lou you've given us over the years. Lou I do say that lovingly; lol
The board has been very stressful the last 3-4 months, but you have done an outstanding job of keeping it moderated due to your 35 yrs. as a former director if IT, over computer technical employees.
Yes, you were on the board late at night/early morning, since I was right here seeing your posts here and there!
I remember our recent PM where you stated you were on 3 wks. vacation walking on the beach with your long-time sweetheart, Angela! We compared the number of years you 2 have been married; I believe it was 45 years, and hubby/I's 32 years married.
Lou, do everything the doc tells you. You HAVE the determination to get well in spite of the obstacles ahead of you.
I recently learned 2 days before your heart attack that I, at 57, have cardiovascular disease so seeing my pcp 12-26 to find out what I can do since this is now the 4th life-threatening illness I have:
chronic lyme 37 yrs., diabetes 2 under control Thank God; sleep apnea, and now heart problems.
Lou, please know that MANY GOOD WISHES FOR FULL RECOVERY ARE HEADED YOUR WAY BY THE LYMENET MEMBERS HERE who you have helped so much over the years.
Angela, Lou, and your daughter, are in ALL our thoughts and prayers during this Christmas season.
Angela, if you would like, please email me privately as you did, and I will be happy to copy/paste your update note to all sections of lymenet so your friends will know the latest news on Lou and you.
Lou, if you feel a hug or kiss, and no one is there; it's us, your lymenet friends here!

Thank you from the bottem of my heart Angela and Lou for all you have done. You have both always been here for all of us at Lyme Net.
Without Lyme Net, I never would have gotten any help, nor any memebers of my family.

Good golly Lou. PLEASE take it easy and let LymeNet fall to the BOTTOM of your priority list and your health up to the TOP! Some rest, rehab, and Angela's TLC and I'm hoping you will be better than new.
My best,
Michelle
