As head elf, and having to put up with all santa's crap, i think she did a great job.
multiple problems did arise though
1) too many toddys and hot chocolate. 2) reindeer union went on strike and refused to fly until santa lost some weight. 3) we had to let the santa suit out 2 inches. 4)she and i, were both on the naughty list this year ,but SHE WAS NAUGHTIER. 5) she complained about the new garmin gps i put in her sleigh and was in chicago when she was suppose to be in california, duh. 6) somewhere in utah, the fire department had to be called in, to get her out of the chimney, got stuck, wonder why santa?????? 7)she kept asking me, did we send this yet, do we get this one a green santa, what a memory???? 8) she refused to give me a raise once obtaining the cee chief executive elf. 9) donner got lyme and could not fly this year, slept for the whole trip. 10) when santa came home from the many homes she had ROBIN'S CD OF LYMENUT HITS ON THE CD PLAYER. 11) we had sooo many chidren this year the elfs refused to make any more toys, so we had to go with gift cards at the end. 12) WE NOW HAVE TWO FUTURE BASKETBALL PLAYERS WITH THEIR NEW NIKES, AND FUTURE EARNINGS OF TEN PERCENT WILL GO TO LDA.
ALL IN ALL BESIDES HER MANY FAULTS , I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY BOSS FOR A VERY WELL DONE JOB. SHE FOLLOWED MY ORDERS VERY WELL!!!!!LOL WE HAVE MANY NEW IDEAS FOR NEXT YEARS.
WITH SANTA'S permission , i tried one this year. I ASKED MY COMMUNITY WITH EMAILS FOR GIFT CARDS FROM $10 -$50 FOR THE KIDS, AND FOR SOME NEEDY ADULTS.
WELL IT WAS NOT A GREAT RESPONSE ,BUT DID GET ABOUT $100 IN GIFT CARDS. IF WE COULD GET EVERYBODY ON LYMENET TO EMAIL 10-20 FRIENDS WITH MY LETTER, WE COULD GET LOTS OF GOODIES, AND LESS OBLIGATION FOR LYMIES THAT WHAT TO HELP BUT STRECH THEIR BUDGET.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK SEVERAL GREEN SANTAS FOR OFFERING TO HELP WITH SHOE BOXES. THIS WAS A GET SACRIFICE SINCE THEY HAD VERY LITTLE MONEY AND LIVING ON WELFARE OR SSDIS. WE, SORRY TO SAY ,ACTUALLY REJECTED SOME GREEN SANTAS, HOPE NO ONE WAS OFFENDED BECAUSE WE FELT IT WAS TOO MUCH OF A SACRIFICE FOR THEM.
WE HAD LOTS OF WILLING GREEN SANTAS THIS YEAR AND ALL GOT WHAT THEY WANTED. THESE WERE GREAT BECAUSE IT DID'NT COST $20 TO SEND THEM.
we would like to start earlier and get corporate sponsership to donate gift cards, and maybe start to include some needy adults as well.
i will start approaching many corporations after christmas, and maybe if all goes well we can get a sponsered fund of gift cards from many sources.
ANYBODY WITH ANY PULL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPONSERSHIP SYSTEM AT THE FOLLOWING STORES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
TARGET,WAL-MART, CVS, WALGREENS, FOOD CHAINS, RESTUARANT CHAINS,TOYS R US, EVEN PETS MART.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK JULIE, OH I FORGOT I DID ALL THE HARD WORK !!!!!! LOL.
DOCDAVE AKA DOCBARB AKA PETESAND CEE FOR GREEN SANTA.
HOPE YOU ALL GOT WHAT YOU WANTED, IF NOT ,TOUGH!!! LOL

Thanks everyone. The Green Santa's were wonderful this year. Thanks to DocDave and all the wonderful Santa's that made this happen. We helped 52 people this Christmas!!!
I really, really enjoyed doing this. I wasn't able to give gifts, since I am out of work right now, but it made me feel like I was giving something.
It was such a delight to correspond with all the wonderful people on LymeNet.
Merry Christmas to all.

this is such an awesome venture, because it is the children who directly recieve this extra special love and care. what a difference it makes in their lives!
