I have many fish and the other day I had to sacrifice my meds for my fish..sadly I first tried tetracycline at the fish store and I hoped it would work..it did not and one died the next day..the other then became sick and started to hemorrage..I felt that I should use zithromax at 1500mg for the tank of 30 gallons..it worked and I saved the fish...I feel good now as he would surly die...wish lyme treatment were this easy..

Sorry you lost one of your fish. [Frown]

I have a cat and he has been such a comfort through this disease.

I think people dont realize how much of a positive impact animals can have on our lives (and i believe health.

Glad to hear your other scaly friend was saved.

Im really very sorry to hear that you lost one, but that was really resorceful thinking to save other one.. I did not realize they could be given our meds. at all.. good to know. I learned something new today.

I once saved our daughter's gold fish (won at a "fishing pond" at a school function) by putting a child's aspirin in the small bowel.

That fish lived a LONG time.

Amazing what some acids can do.

My dog, a Bichon, acts like a young pup after a tablespoon of "Missing Link" (Omega 3s for dogs) mixed in with his foods.

Once when "Charlie" had a "cough" the vet put him on Benadryl AND an antibiotic. It is the COMBINATION that does the "trick".

In some respects dog FOOD is far healthier than what we eat!

And finally...Angels Eyes (antibiotic PLUS dried liver...purchased via the internet) completely cleared his allergy triggered red stains under his eyes. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I never would have believed it. Now his groomer is telling everyone about it too.
