My daughter has an inflamed toe that won't heal. The doctor thought fungus. She is taking Diflucan every other day. Probiotics daily. She applies Oil of Oregano to the toe, as well as Lamsil.

She has suffered with this for about five months.

Any other ideas?

Hi Kelmo,

I had aspergillus in my sinuses for monnths that was cleared up with high doses of Cumanda, 40 drops twice a a day, along with a week of rife treatments.

Kelmo,
I came back to add that I also used YeastEase by Jernigan to clear up a fungal infection in my lungs.

I haven not used any pharamaceutical antifungals so I can not compare them. Only that the above to worked for me at various times.

Good luck

A very long time ago as a teen, I had a bad case of athlete's foot (from a community pool changing room).

Anyway, our doctor Rx'd tiny pills that we dissolved COMPLETELY (!) in water in a foot bath tub and I soaked my feet in this SOLUTION every day for about a week. The solution looked light purple.

It does turn the skin brown (and any cloth that comes in contact with this solution) and this has to wear off....so socks and slacks/jeans for about a month to hide.

It is:

Potassium permanganate.

Research it thoroughly.

Here for starters:

http://pathlights.com/nr_encyclopedia/16pois04.htm

It DID work!!! Absorbine Junior and all the others anti fungals had failed. It did not "hurt" to soak them.

I must admit that I love difucon but only used it sparingly when my yeast went over the top.

I had massive yellow fungus under all of my toes. I used oregano oil - I ramped up to 10 drops 3 times a day. I would take for 15 to 20 days and then break for a weeks or so. After 3 months the toe nails were pretty clear. It also really helped with the GI yest issues. Now I only use oregnano oil when I know my yeast is flaring.

Four years ago a naturopath doc did many Darkfield blood cultures on me. One of many things she seen in my blood was aspergillus fungus.

There is no telling what is deposited in our bodies by these blood suckers. Somethings the immune system is able to control until all hell breaks loose and it is overwhelmed.

Planters Warts are painful and take a long time to heal, but it is possible.

I had to use several boxes of Dr. Scholl's "Clear Away" Wart remover before finally doing the job. Drug stores and even grocery stores carry this product in "foot" sections. Be patient. It takes time, but works.

You put a tiny disc which is impregnated with 40% salicylic acid on top of the wart and then a round cushioned adhesive pad goes over that disc.

This is done every day.

The skin layers turn white and can/should be gently removed (a pumice stone helps), so that the medicine can reach the infection which is in the deep skin layers.

To clear the infection, note the % of salicylic acid!

Now...toenail fungus...those are a LOT tougher to "reach" to cure.

Have you tried olive leaf? It is good for fighting yeast in general. I think this would apply to fungus too.

one thought only if helpful, with the fungus as an infection it could lead to gout. Is it possible she isn't clearing uric acid well enough out of her body. You can kill the fungus but the inflammation will remain especially in the big toe. I doubt it would hurt to find methods to lower uric acid.

check out the following if you would like to test:

This thread is four years old. Not that details may not help others, but it's just good to know before putting in too much time for a reply.

Keebler -- I thought it was pretty cool finding a monitor for gout that works similar to the diabetic monitors. All for about 150 dollars. Such a deal.

Bob,

Oh, my comment was not about the wonderfulness of your post, but if you were expecting replies - just wanted you to not hold your breath. I've put a lot of energy into some posts before wondering then why no one replied back about their progress, only to realize years had passed since inquiry was first placed.

yes, that monitor is "way cool" and will be helpful to many.

Diflucan is not usually prescribed for fungal infections of the nails.

Sporanox (itraconazole) is indicated for use with onychomycosis, you might ask your doctor to switch her to that. It can take a couple months for the infection to clear and the nail to grow out properly.

It would also be good for your daughter's doctor to do a toe nail clipping to identify the exact type of fungus to make sure that she gets the right therapy.

Good catch Keebler! I didn't realize it was so old, I would hope her toe would be healed by now.
