That's right!! Me the scardy cat is now five days into Mepron and zith...

After 12 months of abx for lyme I have NEVER felt as good as I do right now. My head is clear, no jaw pain, I can breath again and the tingling in my hands and feet is just slight...

I am so afraid that the great feeling will end any moment (are you supposed to herx on mepron?)

I am praying this is a turning point for me...

It was a turning point for me. But it took 3.5 months and it caused all kinds of GI problems. I hope this works for you.

P.S. Altho it was a turning point, I am still quite sick. But not as severe as before the mepron.

It goes to show, in my opinion, that we all need to be treated for coinfections. My tests were negative, but I am sure I had babs.

Yay*)!! Good for you- I found that many symptoms I htought were residual Lyme were actually Babs!!!! Including Lymey brain fog and arthritis in my hands!!! I am also Babs blood negative but Krause said in his pediatric paper that many people are even if acute and he is the Expert!!
There are so many strains out there that have not yet been catalogued!!

I stayed on Mepron for 2 years and never ha a single side effect. Went on Artemesia at the same time for the last 9 months of it... That gave me some anger attacks- wow can that happen with Babs treatment- scary!

I am glad you are feeling b etetr and I hope it stays*)!!
Take care,
Best wishes,
Sarah

The babs treatment was also a turning point for me as well. But I did herx like hello for sometime before I felt bettter.

But I guess everyone is different in how they respond to treatment,

I hope this is the turning point & you continue to make progress [Smile]

Blessings,
Dana

Hurray, Kim!

I pray it continues.

Don't be discouraged if it kicks your butt at some point. It might, or it might not. Not everyone feels worse on it; some just feel better -- MUCH better.

Mepron has cleared your brain fog?? Oh my gosh, that is wonderful!

I hope you continue to feel well, and that this is your turning point!

Isn't it wonderful when you finally get relief from the brain fog...

I had this for 7 yrs straight - I thought there was no end, no med was touching it until I went on ceftin (into the 7th yr of treatment) and one day I was clear, the bubble bust!

Hope this sticks for you - as I have been brain fog free since 1997/98 now.
