Hi Guys,

HNY! I know I have made a few posts regarding yeast/candida, but here is another.

Would you please mind sharing your experiences with me, re: yeast and candida?

How long were you ill from it?
What meds did you try, how did they work for you?
Did you have herxes?
Did you get slammed to the ground after eating certain foods?
How long did it take to notice some true signs of healing and feeling better, after you began the diet, and meds?
What were your worst symptoms?

To be honest with you all, I have screwed up BIGTIME! I would take the Nystatin, begin to feel better a day or so, then start cheating again. I am so sick of being sick!

Tomorrow is my Birthday, 43! I no longer want to sit on the sidelines and watch life play on without me in the game!

I did buy Prevention mouthwash, it fights thrush, tongue cleaner, works well. Keep scraping this phlegm like crap off.

Anything you can share with me would be great!

Thanks,

Rob

Hey, Rob,

Happy Birthday! I'm tired, too, of spending too many birthdays and other major events in life being sick while my friends and family are out having fun!

My systemic yeast test came back negative. I am awaiting gut candida tests. Something is definitely up with me - I'm getting spacey on probiotics and never had any problem before.

But I'm not on any Nystatin yet (can't do Diflucan).

In the meantime, I just started a teeny dose of Rifampin and feel horrible from it. Bartonella seems to be my huge issue, more so than Lyme. I am so queasy, dizzy, headachy and more and I'm nowhere near a needed dosage yet.

When I had systemic candida many years ago, I did the holistic approach - diet for maybe five to eight months (I can't remember), the bentonite clay/caprylic acid routine, etc. I was NOT on antibiotics back then so at least I didn't have that making it worse.

Try to enjoy yourself on your birthday!

Jill

Maria,

My LLMD used a new blood test on me for systemic yeast from BioHealth Labs called D-Arabanitol. You can read up on it on the BioHealth website - I was not familiar with the test.

Many years ago, pre-Lyme, my holistic MD did blood tests for yeast antibodies to check for systemic yeast - I don't remember the lab - and also the Great Smokies (now Genova) stool tests.

boston,

lots of prayer with tons of herbs: greens-, lots of basil, olive leaf extract, fresh garlic immediately after meals, and yogurt cultures every day

I can eat bread with the greens and i am tolerating it

It is gone !!

I am going to try cumanda based on the posts I have read . It is supposed to be a strong antifungal- so potent that most people can only start with a drop a day .

It is by nutramedix and I order from Susan Ambrosino's herb club .
Good luck !

Hi Boston

I had candida about as bad as it gets--
You Do Not want to go there--

No Carb diet is the most important
thing you can do--No way around it--

Read the book -the Yeast Syndrome-
by John Trowbridge--
do what the book says you Will get better--

Oil of Organo works perty good-
Nystatin Powder works Very Good-

If you cheat on diet-you will be
back to square one each time --

Dont cheat--Jay--

Thanks Guys,

I love all the advice. Is there a new book, say printed in the last year or so, about yeast?

I did buy The Yeast Syndrome. Great!

Thanks,
