Hi-

I have had 2 lyme tests come back negative, however the Western Blot IgG P41 Ab. was present/abnormal. I am getting ready to have another blood test. Does anyone know how long I should be off antibotics before I retest. The doctor says the antibotics need to be out of my system. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for the info. I have read the guidelines carefully. I am confused because it says if you are having a spinal tap to wait six weeks, I right...now am having more bloodwork done. Do I still have to wait six weeks??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nancy, sometimes taking abx before a test helps achieve a positive result because the keets can be driven back into the bloodstream provoking an antibody reaction which the test can pick up.

For bloodwork I believe two weeks without abx is sufficient.
