I have just been diagnosed with Lymes disease over the telephone ), and havent had my appointment with my doc yet, but i would like to know is there any way i can pass this on to my family and friends?
I know nothing about Lymes disease, except for the small amounts i have had time to read on here.
The only symptoms i have had is bad fatigue, stiff neck and in the jawline, headaches,and watery eyes, i dont remember having any rash, but any bug that bites loves me :-( which i always swell up after being bitten.

Wow, with all the legal problems going on with Dr J in CT and Dr J in NC over diagnosising. There is still someone who would diagnosis Lyme over the phone?

I suggestion you start here with the newbie links on the first page of lymenet.org medical questions and hit the internet researching. There is very little research done on the actual transmission of Lyme. There is much controversy over the topic as well. It has been cultured from biting flies, mosquitos, fleas, lice, etc. but transmission from these vectors has not been proven. It would be very difficult to actually prove. My LLMD believes Lyme is sexually transmitted. He is treating too many couples for it to be a coincidence. You will have to decide for yourself after some research.

welcome ronnie! boy have i got info galore for you; overload!!

ronnie, would you EDIT MY PROFILE and change 2 things while you are in there:

. change to ALLOW PRIVATE MESSAGES at the bottom;
. change for search purposes the LONGEST AMOUNT OF TIME vs. the default time

now folks can send you a PM, private message, without it being on public board!

we don't post drs. names, etc.

now on MY post here, click the 2 people standing together icon; that's a PM!

ask me to send my 30 pages of links/advise to you, and i will sometime today/night!

you've got the right place; in my links is TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS, which he has a HUGE archive library of important stuff.

in what i'll send you is what to know BEFORE 1st LLMD meeting, etc. good luck; we'll help you along lyme pathway.

also, we have LYME not lymes; correct the md each time they say this ok! [Big Grin]
