can lyme make u irritable? i mean reaaaaaaaaal irritable for sometimes no reason. Or if i do have a trigger i get totally overly irritated.

If this was my only symptom id consider bipolar or something like that. But...i have neurological, physical, psychological & emotional issues along w/ sensitivities that make me believe it MIGHT be lyme.

I also have dysautonomia symptoms along w/ a murmur.

I feel like im being swallowed up alive by all these horrible issues.

I hope Lyme can cause all those things because other wise that would mean that I am totally crazy. I def. get very irritated and sometimes afterwards .. I am like what the heck what that? It's like my personality shifts into someone i dont' even know.

Don't get discouraged . .I am right there with you!

I would imagine that since it gets into the brain, it messes everything up.

Mood swings, OCD, night terrors were the first symptoms to arise in my daughter. So, medication helps that area.

We are hoping that with treatment and remission, those medications might be lowered or discontinued. But, I would rather have her on them. Anxiety isn't good for your health and healing.

There are such things as "lyme rages". Maybe that's part of it.

You are not alone.

Oh Yes! Absolutely.

I had those horrible lyme rages. I would look to pick fights. Scream.

Now after one and a half years of treating lyme the symptoms are gone. I'm back to my sweet old self [Wink]

Ohhhh thank you for your replies and support. I pray mine go away too. I've only been on treatment 2 weeks and I expect everything to magically disappear! LOL
I am only on doxy pills 300mg. Tomorrow i start adding biaxin.

I dont want to be this way.....and yes...its like another person has taken over...one that gets very angry from the inside out.

Its like...instead of getting mad at something and then feeling the anger on the inside after you get mad like a normal person would...
I start to feel the rage on the INSIDE first....then it makes me irritable to the outside world. I tend to yell at my 3 year old and i cant stand myself.

Thanks again everyone.

I can't help but add that yes, lyme can cause some nasty symptoms but any time I hear about the emotional yoyo stuff I also have to question Bart as a co-infection.
