i have chronic anxiety among many other things. On 2 wks of doxy seemed my anxiety became milder.
I had to stop for now cuz of allergic reaction to it...and now i feel like im more anxious.
Also my balance is worse.
Why does this happen?
I hope the next drug i try will help this cuz its hard to live like this in my own skin.
And i tried SSRIs ...they made me worse.

Doxy gets into the brain and was helping clear the problem. Now it's back. UGH!!

Are you supposed to call the dr Monday for a new med?

really?!
$hooot!
i really wanted to stay on it but the breathing issues were scaring me.
Hmm...i talk to the doc tuesday and we'll decide then.
Maybe she'll have me resume it but her assistant told me to stop taking it till tuesday when she calls me.
I was suppose to add in biaxin today but im gonna hold off on everything now.
Hmm......so you think the doxy was truly helping my anxiety that quick??? I wonder if i was on doxy for like 6 months and then stopped would it come back regardless.
Darn.

I think it could! [question #1]

It may be gone after extended abx. Biaxin is really good too, but I'm not sure how good it is with the brain issues.

Minocycline is good for the brain, as is Ceftin or rocephin.

Didn't someone say to you that it could be the babesia causing the breathing problems? Be sure to cross that bridge with your dr. You don't want to overlook it!

Hi PBG,

I agree with Tutu about the breathing stuff. check for co's. I had a resurgence of air hunger when I first started abx. It is so scarey, but it wasn't an allergic reaction.

After I found out what air hunger was, I was able to keep my anxiety from getting the best of me (it still got a good part of me during air hunger episodes).

I would pop some benedryl during the air hunger episodes, which made me sleepy and made me feel like if it was an allergic reaction that I was somehow addressing some of it. Truth be told, the Benedryl knocked me out and when I woke up things were a little better.

I'm not a doctor, but the above was my experience of breathing stuff. After about a month and a half on abx, the breathing issues resolved.

I'm really glad you will review your symptoms with your LLMD. It is so hard to know what is happening to our bodies with each new symptom. Some we can ride out, others feel too tough.

Best wishes,

wiserforit
