I would not think so. It is unlikely that it would cause a herx in most cases. It is not really a killing agent per se. I do not experience what you have mentioned.

Gads, I hope Gigi doesn't hear us whispering !
I bought some, I muscle tested "tolerated" and "beneficial". I took the recommended dose. Within 7 days I was bloated, skin itchy, and the other itchies.
Stopped, cleared system, and tried one dropper full. Same thing.
I think the vinegar base stimulated candida growth. They say vinegar is not good if you have candida. I believe that experiment confirmed a low grade infection.
Broke my heart....I was hoping to be rip roaring healthy within a month.
Alas.

i had a significant allergic reaction to rechts regulat. classic allergic skin bumps all over my body, which developed slowly about 3 or 5 days into starting it. i sent pictures to the doc, they stopped me immediately, and later, when i went went back, they muscle tested me and said it was clearly an allergy. so while i know it's been really good for some people i would not automatically assume your reactions are a herx. and ditto on scott's comments, it's not my impression that you'd expect such a quick negative reaction. i do know that some people report very quick changes in their blood color, etc, but those have all sounded positive...
good luck o

I got this from the document "Accessible Enzymes", co-authored by several doctors, naturopaths, scientists, etc. which discusses Regulats:
"Allergic Reactions to Regulat
Regulats produce no allergic reactions in 99% of all patients. Even people who are allergic to any of the individual ingredients rarely experience an allergic reaction. The reason for this lies in how cascade fermentation alters the substances in the end product. Nevertheless, the patient must be aware of possible reactions, and, if neccessary, stop the therapy."
"Initial worsening of the Condition
We occasionally notice a general initial worsening of the patient's condition. Patients with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, skin problems, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism are particularly subsceptible. Patints with these conditions should begin with a low dosage. In our experience, one teaspoon per day for one week is a good dosage to start with.
The following week should include one teaspoon every morning and evening. From the third week on, there are usually no more problems with the normal dosage of two Tablespoons a day, and even high dosages are possible."
And as I read back in the document, it looks like they recommend it for candida as well. The acidic base for the formula seems to be right-turning (and therefore beneficial, according to them, as opposed to left-turning) lactic acid.
I just thought I would post the above to give a little more information about what they are saying about the product, but I also believe in trusting your own judgement on things too and if I had such a strong reaction myself I would probably back off too.
Myself, I have had no herxing at all from the RR, in fact it's one of the few things that hasn't caused a reaction of any kind in me and every time I test it I get a big "Yes" to keep taking it.
