My sister is taking Ceftin 500 2x a day for rocky mountain spotted fever. She only has a 10 day supply.

I know, I know...........

What's the best abx? How long? She is going to get tested thru MDL. BCBS pays for that. Thank God! Igenex is out of the question $$$$$$$$$$$

i don't know much about rmsf, so ceftin sounds new to me.

fwiw, search the tetracycline class of "abx + rmsf", or

"rmsf treatment".

talk with others who live in colorado, and other states where this is known to occur with significant frequency.

Hello Heather,

Sorry to hear about your sister. Did she take a pic of that rash?

Im pretty sure either doxy or one of the tetracyclines are the abx of choice for RMSF.

Im sure others will be along soon....
