hi,

I have one short, but important question: Is it possible that cotrimoxazole is a good agent against bart?

I know - it's not the drug of choise, but does it have potency?

My LLMD seems to favor Cipro for Bart. That said, his second choices are Rifampin or Bactrim. I'm willing to bet he prescribes all of them equally often. Some folks can handle one drug but not the others...so whichever the person can handle. i.e. I can't take Bactrim but Rifampin, so far, has been OK. Cipro will be my last choice.
