Hi, I know this may sound silly, but I've seen the term brain herx thrown around ... what does a brain herx feel like ?

Well... if you don't have a headache yet, you might get one. If you already have a headache, it might feel worse. Might even approach migraine-like pain. Sometimes it's dull, sometimes sharp, sometimes migrating. Also, there may be a congested-like feeling, like a terrible sinus infection, etc., and the scalp can sometimes feel itchy.

It does not even remotely resemble anything pleasant. But hopefully, it is a stepping stone to something better.

I always have things on hand to help mitigate the herx, like my favorite sinus remedy, etc.

Hope that helps.

Claire

oh the headaches... sometimes they last for days and days and think they won't stop, but they do. sometimes my eyes and eyebrows hurt, and bright lights. Sharp stabbing pains like an ice pick from the top of skull to deep inside. oh and the itching-I just thought that was me, thanks for that tip..

for me its any of the following:
head pressure with or without headache
Increased mind fog & confusion
speech & word searching worse
More light sensitivity
irratiable
depression
worse sleep problems
basically most of my neuro symptoms get worse

Its different for everyone it seems. Some its mild others severe..My LLMD suggested a RX I could take to relieve pressure in my brain when I was herxing so bad on IV but can't remember the name.

Anything I can do for detox seems to help. But basically I ride it out & wait till it lessens.

If you're having a really bad die off in your brain some docs will back down & then ramp up in the future.

Hope this helps [Smile]
blessing
Dana
