They recognize that Q Fever can cause chronic infection, and that they use IgG and IgA (and not IgM) antibody tests to determine chronic infection.

They also state that chronic infection is treated for a minimum of several years with antibiotics.

A friend of mine has a positive IgG test for Q fever.
