I have weak/sick feeling that is a lingering symptom that does not seem to correspond to any of my other Lyme symptoms as far as when and how it responds to ABX treatment.
This is a feeling that I would not describe as fatigue.
I believe I was bitten 4 1/2 years ago and have been treating for the better part of 4 years with various ABX.
I have stopped ABX on two separate occasions and relapsed both times with the amount of symptoms increasing each time (knees, back, arrhythmia, headache, dizziness).
For two years now I have almost continually had this weak/sick feeling that varies in intensity.
I have suspected Candida and have addressed it with diet modification and natural anti-fungal treatments for the last 8 months with some lessening of this feeling.
I cannot however get rid of this feeling even as I approach getting my other Lyme symptoms back to symptom free under my current treatment with Ketek.
Any thoughts on what this weak/sick feeling is? Is it just another Lyme symptom? Is it Candida from 4 years of ABX treatment? Is this a continual herx reaction? Am I somehow toxic from long-term ABX usage? Am I toxic from heavy metal accumulation?

Can you describe your weak/sick feeling a little more please? I get weakness and I associate it with depleted adrenals. Do you feel suddenly weak, like a wet noodle when you get upset or have an emotional thought or conversation? You can feel weak and shakey with hypoglycemia too.
Besides the fatigue, weakness is one of the most uncomfortable symptoms for me. I've been able to stop it most of the time with adrenal support. Sorry you have it.

niff, do you have a lot of stomach problems, diarrhea, gas galore, etc.
could be food allergies: gluten...being allergic to wheat, rye, flax, oats, etc.
4-06 i found i'm allergic to wheat/rye, cow's milk, cheeses, egg whites, and garlic.
have to eliminate that from my diet.
MERIDIAN LABS did the food allergy tests on 95 foods for $95; $1/test!

I would dscribe this feeling as flu-like symptoms without the headache, chills or muscle aches. I do feel shaky inside but I am not outwardly shaking.
My blood levels (CMP & CBP) are all in the normal range. My cortisol level is normal but was slightly high at one point. Even so I will pursue the adrenal issue with my LLMD. Terry K - what do use for adrenal support?
I dont have any stomach trouble since I began taking probiotics. I have not been able to tie a flare of this symptom to any foods so far.
