My main symptom is a "burning" that is now localized at the base of my scull where my head meets my neck.

It is so deep that one has to massage very hard to affect it at all. This is accopanied by painful head pressure and a very "sick" feeling and fever that causes me to be unfunctinoal.

The ONLY thing that has phased it is temporary relief from rifing for Candida that does not last and also massive dosages of probiotics.

In both instances, the burning , pressure, and heavy "brain fog" come back within a day even though I continue the same treatment.

I have been told that this is a part of the Lyme, but it honestly does not sound like anything anyone has ever reported. Does anyone know anyone who has had this and what it was?

Thanks,
Marisa

I have had central brain burning, infrequently. Still trying to figure out the circumstances in which it occurs.

I do hope you have a doctor. The base of the brain ache is an occasional symptom of lyme.

I had it after I started abx.

I figured it was inflammation of nerves/or cerebellum (my opinion of my instance, and I am not a doctor). It would be aggravated when a massage therapist insisted on doing the stillpoint work there. After the reaction, I declined that part, since it had such painful consequences that the pain also included the central part of the brain.

I see you have only 1 post. And you are rifing. Hopefully you have medical support for your journey.

I had that. It was really bad. It was worse when I was taking abx to kill the keets. I remember it all too well!! [shake]

Do you have an LLMD?

Yes, I have the same symptoms. Neck pain at the base of the skull (which I think maybe cranial nerve involvement) causing neuro (visual, hearing, imbalance) symptoms as well.

I have been off abx for 7 months due to a severe yeast infection as well as trying to lower my mercury and lead burdens doing chelation therapy.

Can't go back on abx as of yet and scared that I am doing more damage. Working with a good LLMD though......trying to see the light!

I use to have this intense burning at the base of my neck & upper back. Had it for a long time too. An ENT I went to told me it was lactic acid buildup.

You should know that LD reuptakes your glutamate levels. This burning is the number one complaint of msg exitotoxicity.

When I went on the msg free diet that burning went away. This means cutting back on high glutamate foods & especially 'free glutamate'.

If you would like some guidance on this just let me know.
