Just 2 weeks ago, I began seeing an Osteopath (D.O.) in addition to my marvelous integrative doctor and I am having great response to his treatment. My only remaining symptom is joint swelling and pain. I have been diagnosed with Lyme and Rheum. Arthritis.

He is my hubby's doctor and kept telling my hubby he has really good results with RA. Finally, I went to see him and see what he could do.

Basically, D.O.'s are concerned with the muscular/skeletal, the central nervous and the circulatory systems. He is trained to find blockages caused by mis-alignment. Fix the alignment and open the flow of fluid systems in the body and then the body can heal itself.

This would be consistent with my other doctor who is also trying to improve my flow to detoxify my very toxic body. That doctor works by injecting glutathione and lipostabil which promotes the liver functions.

It is not amazing to me to find out from the D.O. just how out of line I am. Afterall, I "Luvs2ride" horses. They are big animals and can knock you around pretty good.

I am just amazed at how quickly I am responding to his treatments. He said when the fluids are blocked, muscular/skeletal issues result. I am rapidly losing all pain in my joints, even first thing in the morning.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. And, it has no toxic side effects. It does the body good only.

Anyone else tried this?

Hi Luvs,

I saw an osteopath about five years ago, he gave me the same spiel about mis-alignment causing blockages of the CSF and how if these were put right then the body could heal itself. He re-aligned my pelvic bones which he said are frequently found to be out of alignment in women after giving birth, it was quite a drastic manoeuvre and at the time somewhat traumatic!

I don't think the treatment could have had any effect on detoxifying as I continued to be very ill with lyme/CFS and gradually got worse. However since then I don't get the awful lower
back pain that used to disable me at times so for me it was worthwhile. Maybe the effects of the treatment on your body as a whole depends on how ill you are to start with.

Glad it's working for you.

Yep. No one fix for all people.

Interesting your manipulations were drastic. My doctor's touch is so mild I have to really concentrate to even tell he is pushing or pulsing. Mostly it just feels like his hand is laying gently on my body.

I have had 5 days in a row of practically no pain. I have had really great times previous to this treatment, but this is my best so far. For the first time, I am even waking up without swelling or pain. Unheard of for Rheumatoid Arthritis.

It is very possible bacteria is not my issue. Fungus, yes. Heavy Metals, yes. Test positive.
Overload of toxins for sure and could that be because my pipes are bent and blocked restricting the flush of fluids through and out my body? Most likely. Afterall, this is very consistent with what my first doctor has been doing.

Remains to be seen if this will have a lasting effect. Certainly too soon to claim a cure.

I should have said that it was only that particular pelvic manipulation that was traumatic.... at least for me as I am small and slender (less than 8 stones) and he was quite a tall and strong man of Viking descent! Imagine if you can having this person kneel on one side
of your pelvis while pressing on the other side with both hands!!!!! Amazingly it didn't actually hurt, I just didn't like the feeling of his weight pressing my hip down and the feeling of my bones clunking into place but I have to say that in the five years since it was done my back has been fine..... it's the rest of me that's falling apart.

So glad you have found something that makes you feel better!!

I do not have any personal experience with osteopathy, but acupuncture has a similar philosophy about opening 'flow' energetically as does yoga (though more physical), which I have done. I know this is important.

I hope you continue to remain pain-free.
