Hi

I decided to try colonics treatment. I was hoping that it could help with the burning pain I'm having. Well, after the treatment I felt pretty ok for a couple of hours and after that the burning came back even worse. I wonder what happened? Any experiences?

Sometimes it's so frustrating - whatever you try it makes you worse. [Frown]

I have had both good experiences after colonics and bad. But after really commiting myself to get regular help in this area the overall outcome has been good.

You have to remember that the lymph system is very much connected to the colon. Once you flush out the colon you start to move a lot of toxins that may have been backed up. After a colonic you flush out what was in the imidiate area of the colon and then other toxins can start to flow to be removed.

When I started colonic work I was getting them 2x a week for about 2 weeks and then backed off to 1x per week. I also made sure I was getting a lot of liver support and drainage homeopathics for the spleen, lymph and liver system given to me by my homeopathic Dr.

The colonics saved me durring the time I was at my most toxic from die off while I was on IV meds. Everyone's situation is different.

I agree with Johnlyme. The feeling worse is because biotoxins got stirred up -- at least that's my best guess. In addition to many of the things he used, I also used chlorella to bind the toxins so they are eliminated. Many on here prefer cholestramine.

I had a series of colonics early in my lyme treatment. I could not handle them, in addition to stirring up toxins it disrupted my water/electrylote balance.

I would get dizzy and lightheaded after treatments, and my sodium would be on the low side of normal.

The colonics caused an influx of water, and my kidneys would excrete needed minerals and salt with the extra water.

Fiber, Coffee and glutathione enemas did help me, along with repleating salt and electroyltes orally.

Colonics can also disturb the good bacteria so you need to replenish with probiotics. I had a series of coloniics years ago and I would usually land on the couch for days, really sick afterward. Then I would feel better. I agree, I think they stir up a ton of toxins which our body has to get rid of.

That said, if you can stick it out you will likely feel better. I felt better after my series of colonics than I had felt in a long time.
