I started having werid tingling in by hands when they are exposed to cold. Even after washing my hands the cooling from the moisture is enough to trigger it.
I first noticed it last week after riding tandem bike with my wife. My hands are fine otherwise (i.e. no obvious signs of sun burn etc).
I have started on 400 mf per day doxy ~2 weeks ago, but I haven't really exposed myself to sun, and I specifically put sunscreen before biking. Does doxy sensitize skin just to sun, or to everything?
I am afraid that if my whole body starts tingling like this I may go nuts. Does it usually progress? Hands only I can ignore.

I had tingling in my left arm/hand and left leg prior to starting doxy. I still have the tingling in left hand and seem really sensitive to cold weather. My hands hurt when exposed to cold weather. My left hand is cold and tinglingly now as I type.
I can tell you that my mother was bit by a tick about 3 years ago and developed the bulls eye rash and went to the NP and the NP put her on doxy and she remembers her hand and feet tingling and hurting very badly. I was however, impressed that a NP would think of lyme disease in Idaho and preemtively put her on abx. After all, it was an NP thinking outside of the doctor box.

I did get a lot of the skin on my hands tingling when I did doxy the first time 2 years ago. It was as if they felt sunburn. And then if I went outside my nose did the same and became sunburn and my hads burned to. I only was in the sun for very short periods. This lasted the whole time I was on doxy the first time 7 weeks.
I have been on doxy since then about a year later and I did not get that much anymore, only very slight.

I greatly appreciate all responses. I just bought myself warm cycling gloves, and the problem got solved... sort of. At any rate, since it's a normal reaction to doxy, I can live with it, it's not the end of the world.
What a great support group!
