My LLMD appointment is early April, and I'm taking doxy and cipro right now.
I've had these rashes (clustered red spots) on my knees, elbows, and thighs since last December before I started on abx. Some of them faded, but those on my knees keep popping up and just stay there...
Can anyone give me a hint as for what abx to ask from my primary doctor before I can get to this LLMD?

This picture below has the spot from that bite, it was a red itchy bump and much much smaller at first, but it grew (not sure if it's because of scratching). This is now after 9~10 months and it's brown and stablized and not itchy anymore...

Justag, Have you compared your rashes to the rash page at Canadian Lyme Foundation?

Just, How big are they? Are they like little red freckles?
Have you been tested for babesia?

I got bit in April/May 2006 and began to have various symptoms since then (long story short, tried to seek help, but never in the right direction).
Since December 2006 after some flu-like cold days (not sure if it's because cold, sinusitis, or anti-depressant I took those days), these red spots began to grow on my hip, outter thighs, knees, ankles...Some of them fade, but new red clustered spots continue to grow till now and some of them get itchy!
Shortly before that, since November 2006, I began to have exessive night sweats and then since late Jan. 2007 I began to have chills at night. Of course, insomnia had been a problem for months at that point!!
Now I've been on doxy 200mg x2 (for a week) and cipro (for four weeks), it seems I don't have too much night sweats any more and chills get better too. And I could sleep now.
But these red spots continue to grow on different places on my body, itchy, and scary...
Hope I can do something before early April when I can see that LLMD...

Get treated for Babesia! Zithro & Makerone or Mepron. Night sweats & insomnia are common with babs.
Here is a Babesia symptom list----
20. What signs and symptoms would lead a doctor to suspect a Babesia infection in a patient? How many strains of Babesiosis have been identified and how many are commonly tested for in commercial labs?
The following signs/symptoms may be present in those infected with Babesiosis:

Approximately 25%- 66% of Babesia patients are known to be co-infected with Lyme disease. These symptoms may continue for long periods of time, decrease, then return. A low Babesiosis titer (IgG) often indicates a chronic infection.
An acute or current infection may show a higher reading on the IgM test initially. There are over 100 species of Babesia in the United States but only ONE or TWO species are currently checked by commercial labs.
