Got bit
Got a rash- all over
Got misdiagnosed at first (June 06)
Got diagnosed- "very, very positive" (August 06)
Got treated with oral Doxy

didn't feel better
Got 6 wks of IVs
felt way better

then my knee swelled up
got 4 more months of oral Doxy

I have had ups and downs.

Two downs I can recall
December 06- With fever, chills, blahs, extra low energy.

And mid January; right after I quit smoking I felt horrible!!
Again with the chills, fever, headache, tired, miserable - for about 2 weeks.

At this point I started taking b-12 & cats claw (been on probiotics from the beginning) And I start feeling WAY better

So my PA sends me to....
you got it!
an ID doc, and yes it went as well as you think.

He tells me to go off the Doxy and "see"
But I was already feeling better.

I go back to my PA, who is very PRO treatment, it will be interesting to see what she thinks at this point.

I think I feel almost normal, except for a lack of stamina.

my knee still hurts

Hi Ganjagal,

I'm so sorry you got bit, but I'm glad you received some treatment.
I hope your doctor is willing to treat you until all your symptoms are gone and test you for possible co-infecitons. That is very important.

Let us know how it goes with your PA and if you need a LLMD.

Hugss to all.... [group hug]

Hi!

You will find a wealth of information here.
Feel free to check out my information page(link below.) Stay away from ID ducks and keep educating yourself on the complexities of tick borne disease.
Keep tracking your health and your symptoms and treatments. Get copies of all blood work, and if we can help you find a LLMD just ask. [Smile]

Thanks
I really have learned a lot from the wealth of information here- often, it is overwhelming!

I hope that this tread towards wellness continues, if not, there in an LLMD in Western PA.

My PA *wanted* me to go to an LLMD- she just didn't know of any.

The ID doc was funny! Besides some wild eyebrows, that looked like creatures, he contradicted himself several times!
