Well, new protocol for me. Bicillin and Diflucan. I know there is a theory about diflucan being a cyst buster, but is it really a second ABX to be considered combo therapy?

Do I need another abx to deal with the resistance issue.I would hate to make these ****head spirochetes more virulent than they already are.

I am also doing Buhner core herbs(andro, resveratrol, cat's claw). Could any of those be considered as the second abx in this regime?

Anyone out there done just bicillin and diflucan?

BTW dose is 3 - 1.2mu Bicillin per week and 100 mg diflucan per day.

Input please.

mucho thanks,
robi

I take 1.2 MU three times a week but worked up to that starting with once a week. This was after a couple of months of orals and the herxes were still pretty bad, despite the slow start, for a long time.

Robi- do you trust your LLMD? I may ask for advice on this board and get great suggestions, but something as basic as ABX I rely on my doctor to make the decisions and suggestions.

Hi Robi,

Are you on the Schardt protocol?
I took Bicillin for over a year, and it definitely helped. I started with 1.2 mu twice weekly and increased to 3-4 times per week. I also took Diflucan and started with 400 mg on day one, then 200 mg daily for 2 weeks, then 100 mg daily for 3 months. I took Biaxin at the same time at 2,000 mg per day, and it all worked very well. Good luck! [hi]

Wild condor,

Do you consider yourself cured now? It sounds like your battle w/Lyme disease is all in the past, since you say "it all worked very well".

I was on Bicillin for almost 1.5 years, but only 1.2mu a week. I take it that you were on the Biaxin and Diflucan at the same time you were on Bicillin, is that correct?

I'm now off Bicillin and put on Omnicef 300mg BID, along with Tindamax BID, and zithromax 250mg BID.

I've asked my LLNP about Diflucan in the past, but she said it never did anything for any of her patients, so didn't want to use it on me.

Thanks for the replies. Yes. I trust my doc. And I thik we are all still learning, including our docs.

I like to have the benefit of collective experience. That, is one of the things i think Lymenet is so good at.

Thanks for the replies and experiences,
robi
