I am on IV doxycylcine right now (5th day) and I certainly don't feel any better. I am nauseated (sp) tired as all heck and just generally feel ill. I'm assuming this is side-effects and not a herx. Any idea's how long it might take me to respond, if I"m going to?

I did IV Doxy for 3 months. I hated every minute of it. I think if I was to do it again, I would have requested a different antibiotic. It did not cause the stomach upset. But I literally would start yawning the minute I began to infuse my dose. I did not need something to make me more tired!

I responded better to the Cephalosporins or Penicillins. They gave me energy.
