After a day of ABX, my daughter's low grade temp. was dropped to normal. but she experiences sleep problem. She could not sleep well and has only 6-7 hours sleep with a lot of rolling during the night. She only complained once pain in liver area. She kept awake with no another complaits. called Dr for the pain issue in liver area, Dr said it maybe caused by not taking probiotics and let her take only one Abx for a couple of days and add another abx in and watch the progress. Back two-three months, She had the sleep problem. She was getting better for sleep problem before taking abx last week.
Do you think it's herx? Should I check with Dr.?
thanks and regards,
Shara

Thanks Lymetoo, I put her in the hot tub last night and let her sweating a lot. She still could not fall into asleep until 9:30pm. She woke up again at 2am and stayed awake for half hour. After then, she slept much better and woke up at 7:30am. Herxing made me more sure that she has LD. I alreay got Theralac for her. but she could not swallow the pill. I had to break the pill and put into yogurt. I heard it will lost 50% efficience in this way. Could you have any sugguestions how to take it or other brands with liquid form?

Hi sstone,
So sorry your child is going through this.
Yes, I would call your doctor and let him/her know what is going on.
My son has had herxes where he could not sleep but, he also suffers from insomnia pretty much all the time as a lyme symptom. I give him Melatonin at night and it does help.
I did use a powdered form of probiotic that was supposed to survive stomach acid called Jarro-Dophilus but I am having hard time finding it now. There might be something out there similar? I did see liquid in the health food store, maybe that would be an option?
Hope your child feel better soon.
