Hey all, went to the doctro today, regarding the pain I am in due to the herx. The doctor want to try to keep me on the higher does of the IV doxy, so he gave me a RX for DURAGESIC pacth to help with the pain as my stomach is shot from all the meds, and I am in so much pain. Plus I had ongoing headaces for 6 months...(Long story)

Any one ever used Duragesic? Have you had any problems on it?

my husband was on it for about 6 months- it worked pretty well (he had a very arthritic knee, not lyme related, which he eventually lost)

the patch would knock him on his butt!

Well so far so good. The patch is helping with taking the edge off the pain. I still am in alot of pain, but its helping. They are still having me take Hydrocodone for break though pain. So I am hoping this will contiune to work, so I can kep going with the abx. I can't believe how much pain a herx can give you! WOW!
