How can we be sure that what we're dealing with is not systemic yeast and not lyme.
And if it is lyme...how do we know when we need diflucan over nystatin? How do we know when it becomes systemic i guess is the question. Thx

I understand..I pleaded and pleaded and fiiinally got nystatin. BUT if what we or at least I have is systemic....not only are we going untreated but we are compounding the problem with antibiotics (not that we dont need them).
I have a book that the pages are literally falling out of cause ive read it sooo much. Its the only yeast book i needed and makes you THINK about what might be going on and causing so many probs...worth reading IF you think yeast could be part of your battle.
Book: The Yeast Syndrome by John Trowbridge.

I find it interesting that your MD's won't give you a Rx for diflucan.
As part of my regimen, I take 2 diflucan a week, more if needed.
As a matter of fact my LLMD wanted to know if I wanted to try the diflucan protocol for 30 days.
Diet helps.....but I am currently on 4 antibiotics. It is kind of like fighting a losing battle with yeast if you know what I mean.
Good luck.

Since starting the Cedax the yeast has taken a jump. LLMD added nystatin to the regimin which is helping, but not a lot.
I've started researching candida diets, as I'm positive I'm not going to beat it down without starving it, even with the nystatin's help.
From what I read, they aren't sure how much the oral use of nystatin will help against yeast, as it wasn't it's original delivery method. So maybe that's why some of the docs are hestitating on prescribing this or something similar?
