TSK, TSK!!!
Yes, I occasionally eat chips and guacomole, but I'm not on abx.
I eat raw cashews and granny smith apples.
I used to eat Atkins bars, but they contain gluten and I can no longer eat them. They weren't all that healthy anyway, but didn't contain sugar.
And yes,....any vegetables except corn and carrots.... too much sugar content.
Fruit contains a lot of sugar, but granny smiths don't.
You could also eat beef jerky if you're into that.

Lisi, they're a simple carbohydrate that acts much as a sugar acts. I do eat popcorn occasionally, chips, too. I put coconut oil on my popcorn, so hopefully I'm overcoming some of the effects the carbs have in my system. I probably only have chips once or twice a month. At the most I have popcorn weekly, at the very most.
My doc only has me avoiding sugar and yeast right now, but I try to keep the carbs to a minimum. I do not have a candida problem, I'm on lots of probiotics, I eat lots of coconut oil, and I take Nystatin to avoid a problem.
Sometimes I eat frozen blueberries with plain kifir on it. It's a nice frozen treat.

Avocados!! Butternut squash chunks with cinnamon, small amounts of coconut milk with cinnamon or nutmeg. Van's frozen wheat free waffles (seemed to work for me). Poured a small amount of olive oil on my potatos to slow down the 'sugar' rush and also helped to feel more full. You can pour this on vegetables as well for the same effect.
You can prepare some extra meat at dinner for snacks the next day, such as chicken or fish. Wrap in a lettuce leaf with tomatos or (avocados!)etc.
I could not eat any nuts, which was distressing. But it would be great if you are okay with them... a whole other world opens up!
I took lipase and other enzymes, and NAC, all of which helped with digestion.
Now where is Lisi? I sure learned a lot from her chlorella topic!

nuts!
nuts (raw nuts) that have been soaked for a half day change their taste/texture
nuts that have been put through a Cuisinart and mixed with spices, raw grated unsweetened coconut, stevia
more nuts...
um, did someone say there's something wrong with rice cakes- I thought rice was one of the options even though it's a carb?
um, I gotta tell myself (former sugar lover) that I love nuts now...
avocadoes are kind of like nuts in my world...

Nuts when soaked overnite are supposed to be more easily digested per the raw foods people. And then made into nice sauces or pates! No fair for us that cannot have them!
Some health food stores are now refrigerating them to help preserve quality.
But I do seem okay with roasted sunflower seeds soaked overnite. With sea salt...
