One thing I have learned here is that in absence of an LLMD, a Medical Pro who is willing to work with you is the next best thing.
My PA (and the Doc she works with) are so willing to listen to what I have to say. And even when *I* don't think something is a big deal, she will jump on it.
She errs on the side of treatment. The bit about not treating prophylactic with abx because of tummy trouble in her mind is insane- have a tummy ache! have a sunburn, if it will nip Lyme early.
They sent me to an ID doc. He was Rich! wild eyebrows and ridiculous statements like "you'll never get Lyme Disease again" how delusional! My PA couldn't believe he totally ruled out babs, even though I lived in RI for 14 years. He turned around and ripped them a new one, I assume for treating me for so long. they aren't sending anyone else there.
Even though I feel so much better in the last 6 weeks and have stopped treatment, since I did find an LLMD (which she couldn't find one) she wants me to go anyway, "too many ups & downs with you- go! give us a full report!"
