Has anyone (with an alternative physician) tried an IM shot gamma globulin to help your immune system? I have always had neurological symptoms, and in fact, would like to see if I could get IV gamma.
However, the alternative clinic, where I see some doctors, offers this shot.
Any experiences?
Thanks.

Try to get the IVIG. They don't filter IM nearly as carefully (in terms of potential viruses). You can get a 2.5 gram bottle of IVIG, Gammimmune (sp?), its the best no sugar no salt. It would probably cost about $250. It is really helpful. A CFIDS expert in Taiwan uses 1 gram on his patients, though I have no idea how he gets so little. I thik 2.5 grams is the littlest amount you can get here. You need to use it up in one sitting because of potential contamination if its lying around. You could try it, say, once a month. ] Its been so very helpful to me. And lesser amounts like that I don't have bad side effects.
I wouldn't do the IM myself because the standards are much less strict.

Doc S in SF has used IVIGG with some neuro patients with some immuno issues!!! He is very knowledgeable re this because he did fertility tx for women with immuno related fertility disorders so he treated with IVIGG before he treated Lyme and knows TONS about it*)!*)!!!! Like everything can be useful in subset of Lyme patients-!!!
