Just wondering how people here are taking tindamax throughout the day.
Do you always take it with food?
I am supposed to take it 3x per day which coincides with 3 meals but are not 8 hours apart.
I wonder if it would be better to try to take the 3 doses almost equally throughout the day (8 hours apart) rather than with meals thereby maintaining a better blood level of this?
Thanks for any help.

I started on Tindamax two weeks ago. I take it twice a day, with meals.

Ask your doctor how he/she prefers you take it. Once I was taking something twice a day then found out I was supposed to take it all at once. It is better to make sure.
Are you taking it with another antibiotic? I am taking Tinidazole with Minocycline and it has helped a lot. The herxes in the beginning were intense though.
As was stated, do not have any alcohol or you can get very ill. This also includes the alchol in mouthwash etc.

Ditto. Take it as directed by your doc.
I always took it with food. If I didn't I would get very sick to my stomach. And avoid alcohol.

I am currently taking tindamax 3x/day, rifampin 1x/day and minocycline 2x/day.
I know about the alcohol with tindamax so I will stay away (not that I've had any practically in the past year anyway!).
I may call the doctor but I think I am just going to try to space out the tindamax 8 hours apart. This way I try to maintian sort of an even blood level of it as best I can.
Is Tindamax better absorbed with food or is it just recommended to be taken with food because it can upset your stomach?
Thanks!
