I am interested in hearing from those people who took THERALAC and thought they had problems with it.Would like to know:

1.What your problems were.

2. Did you keep with the Theralac and did the problems resolve.

3. If you stuck with it, what dose worked for you.

I had started mixing in Theralac with my other probiotics randomly based on my LLMD's recommendation. I also changed abx shortly thereafter and have been having some GI tract issues and am trying to logically go about determining what is what so anyone's experience would be appreciated.

I stopped taking my abx for a few days just in case this whole episode was caused by the change or even a stomach bug. Now i have been taking theralac one per day plus 1/2 my usual probiotic and all is well.

I started back on my old abx today. If all stays stable over the next few days, I will then change to the new abx. The new abx, though, gave me GI issues a few years back but I wasn't on a good probiotic at that time, so while i am a little leary about that abx I also realize it may not be the true culprit as good probiotics are soooo important.

any comments on the situation would also be helpful.

I have read many of the prior posts on theralac and noticed some saying they had "problems" but no descriptions or feedback on whether they resolved and how.

Sorry to be graphic but I got a bad headache then threw up for five hours after taking one Theralac. I have never had this reaction from Lyme itself or any other probiotic.

I think it may have been too strong for me or had some strains not in my other probiotics, so maybe this was a massive die-off for me.

My LLMD, who recommends Theralac, wondered if I had an allergic reaction to the coating or something.

Who knows. I had read so many rave reviews, I had looked forward to it working, but my reaction was way too violent to risk it again for me personally.

I have had no problems with it that I can tell anyway. It can cause gas, as can all probiotics.
Maybe it was an allergy to one of the ingredients?
