I have been told to take 250mg 1x a day every day. (Along w/ Artimisinin...which i am finding hard to increase my doseage of.) I was reading some old posts about 250mg of Zith every day being too much. Is that true? I know Zith helps w/ Lyme but what coinfections can it help? Thx

I take 1000 mg of Zithromax a day. So I doubt that 250 would be considered alot. It has helped me with Lyme & Babesia. I have been on it for about 3 years now.

Antibiotics work in symphony with antimalarials and other drugs to knock out babesia...
Zith is also good for lyme....

I take 1000mg zith 5 days a week. MY LLMD says that it stays in the tissues so that 5 days a week is ok, not like other abx where you have to maintain blood levels. But 250mg seems like a fairly low dose, I dont think it would cause problems, but of course depends on what other medications etc you are taking.

That's a low dose by all accounts. My LLMD is pretty conservative on his dosing and he had me on 500mg zith, 300mg doxy and 100mg art daily all at once a few months ago. 250mg is not a big deal.
