Geez, what now? For the last several days I have had excruciating and, yes, I do mean excruciating pain under my arms.

I have had no sleep in two nights. I get maybe an hour then I start getting sharp stabbing pains under my arms and have to move. My neck is sore and I have a whopper of a headache. The inside of my thighs are sore and I'm getting these, what I call, rectal spasms, sort of like but cramps.

I don't know if these are herx symptoms or not. I just got the diflucan and will start taking that today so it could not have been that.

I have only been on one cat's claw and my vitamins for the last week.

I'm at a loss, unless this is just more lyme.

I am in so much pain, I'm thinking about going to the ER but I know they won't do anything. I've been to this one hospital six times over the last years, and they don't do one single thing, no meds, nothing, just send me home.

Oh yeah, the scale thing. On that scale, I'm easily an 8 or 9 out of 10, I hurt that bad.

Hopefully maybe somebody can help me out here.

lymph glands are under there. Call your doctor, of course, but try Ibuprofen and alternate cold and hot packs under your arm.

Sure could be Lyme. You ARE talking about pain under BOTH arms, right? [one could be a heart issue]

Have you been tested for bartonella??

Since you're not on abx, I would suspect Lyme first...die-off from Diflucan second.

I sure hope you find some relief very soon!!

It's under both arms. My crazy husband says of course, that it's from mowing the yard yesterday, but this started before that on Saturday. And I don't think mowing the yard had anything to do with it.

Guess I'm off to the primary. Man, I am in pain............ I just feel like I want to throw up.

Oh yes, sorry forgot. That lyme doc in bedford tested for babesia and erch something. I've read all the paperwork and it says nothing about bartonella. So I can't tell if he tested for it or now. I do, however, remember him distinctly telling me I had "straight lyme" and that "your're lucky to have only lyme." Whatever in the sam heck that meant.

I've been getting pain under the arms, in the groin, and by the knees from lymph nodes when I have been having a good herx.

I think the toxic dead junk collects there, and then inflames the tissue all around. I've had good luck with going to a massage therapist for lymph drainage, and then drinking an unreasonable amount of water and lemon juice.

I hope the feeling bad means you're getting better!

Well, you could still have babesia. The tests for it are pretty lousy. I would try to get tested for bartonella, but it could "just" be the Lyme.

Hang in there! [group hug]

I get the underarm pain too. Mine is usually a tenderness and ache, not sharp pain, but it definitely hurts!

I just spoke to my primary doc's nurse. (thank heavens for late hours and being friends with his nurse who often works late.)

I told her I have amoxy and something called cefurxamine axetil (what the heck is that?). So I have antibiotics on hand.

She said I could start on either one (she put in a call to the doc on call). They said the cefurxamine twice a day and the amoxy three times a day, but one or the other not both.

Sound about right?

She said if the pain continues for a couple more days, come in and get blood work and x-rays, just in case.

Waaaaa, I just don't want to do antibiotics cause I know, I just know, that the yeast will get worse....

waaaaaaa,,,,,,,,,,sob..........

Sounds like it could be the lymph nodes. I would discuss it with your doctor. I've had severe pain in the armpits and groin periodically throughout my illness. Never turned out to be anything but due to the infection. Had numerous CT scans to rule out other problems.

Hi Randibear, it's so weird, it seems like everytime I have an issue come up I turn on Lyment and there it is!!

Anyway, I woke up last night with a burning like pain under my arm and down the right side of my breast. And my neck is very sore today/ I also had stomach crams. It was weird. It lasted all night.

This morning I got up and took Tylenol and everything has seemed to calm down a little for now anyway. But my neck is still sore.

It's the second time I've had this. The last time was when I first started abx. So I dont know if it's herx related or what.

And sorry I don't have much advise on what causes this but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in this.

I hope you feel better soon.

There is a procedure called Vodder lymph massage which is a very gentle massage on the lymph nodes throughout the body.

It helps.

Only a few massage therapists in the U.S. know how to do this.

Training is in Canada.
