By now I'm used to the range of bizzare in symptoms and herxing signs. However...

I often get stabbing pains in various body parts of short duration less than 2 minutes, in my head, knee, thumb joint, bicep, etc. etc.

Today as I was waking from my nap I had a stabbing pain in my heart. it was brief but intense.

I took my pulse and it was a bit rapid, but other than that regular.

Last Autumn I had RVOT which is a potentially fatal arrhythmia which after hosptializations and medications became a more innocous pattern of arrhythmia, which finally stopped once I figured out I had lyme and started doxycycline in January.

So for months my heart has been mostly normal with just a few episodes of rapid heart rate or transient benign arrhythmias.

Anybody have experience with this? I just want to make sure I'm not ignoring anything urgent.

I've also been having whole body twitches where my whole body just twitches and jumps. And starting to have body chills, even when covered with blankets. They are both brief and transient.

So any ideas on stabbing in the heart -- my romanitic life is fine by the way, so it's not that!

Karen

Karen,

I am not a doctor but it sounds like something not to ignore.

Call your llmd right away, and consider going to an emergency
room if you still feel any different or any heart symptoms!
That is my best advice, not knowing anything about your
condition.

Dear Karenlee,

I was fortunate enough to have enough cardio work up done to KNOW there is nothing wrong with my heart.

That being said, I have had stabbing pains every where, and while I've had them in my chest....I can't say I've had one in my heart.

Please, please don't ignore any pain in your heart. I second the opinion of calling your LLMD, or go to the ER if need be.

Hugs,

Geneal

I agree. Thats scary stuff. Please adress your heart symptoms.

If it were me I would go to the er and get checked out.

Lyme can do bad stuff to the heart ... and heart symptoms like that are not anything to play around with or ignore.

Best wishes

Please check this out with your llmd. You may also go to the ER. A pain in the chest is nothing to ignore.
My lyme disease has caused several disorders with my heart and including murmer, arrythmia and pots. Currently I am on medication to regulate my heart rate and it has helped a lot.
Good luck and feel better.
